Home for the Holidays

Hi hi! Today, I’m sharing my favorite things to do at home for the holidays. Christmas is this week so I thought it would be nice to share a handful of ideas with you to keep your house feeling cozy and festive while also giving you creative ways to entertain your children. This season often comes with a pressure to be everywhere at once - so many parties, so many Santa Claus outings, and many, many commitments. Not to mention the millions of last minute errands and chores that need to get done!

In our house, we have gotten pretty good at only doing the things we really love to do with our friends and the boys this time of year because the month goes by in the flash so we want to spend it in a state of fa la la la la, not a state of stress. We are busy but busy doing festive things we love. We don’t see Santa Claus a million times. In my opinion, the magic with Santa is in the special sightings, not the constant sightings. We bake the recipes we love, see our favorite lights, read the books we adore, and try, try, try to be in the moment.

Towards the end of the holiday season, especially, I find so much happiness in choosing to stay exactly where we are, soaking up time with family. Below, I have some ideas for making holidays at home special, including ways to entertain your kids, recipes and decor to bake, crafts to do, and my favorite classic Christmas movies! I hope this post will give you some ideas to make the end of the festive season feel like everything you hoped for your Christmas. Hark!
