The Catch-Up | Vol 24
Martha Stewart's daily green juice recipe + Reese Witherspoons daily smoothie recipe, a guide for where to order your holiday cards, Halloween arts & crafts for kids, and my recent podcast feature.
Hello friends!
Hello friends! Happy Friday and welcome to the The Catch-Up, my weekly column that arrives in your inboxes every week. The Catch-Up consists of everything that has caught my eye, heart, imagination, interest, and family throughout the week. I’ve had a very busy week with my kids - playdates, birthday parties, trips to the pumpkin patch, pumpkin carving, and lots more on our fall break! It was a complete opposite from my week before spent in the Cotswolds and London. I’m feeling so grateful this season and for all the fun a new season brings with my kids and friends!
If there is anything in particular that you like seeing from me, please don’t hesitate to drop me a comment and let me know! Thank you for being here and for reading my thoughts, inspirations, and obsessions. P.S. If this post is ever too long for email, simply click through to read it in Substack.
What you may have missed on the blog this week:
What to wear in London and the Cotswolds in the fall
3 creative ways to display memories
A big fall wardrobe edit!
The best time to visit Charleston including 4 outfit ideas for a trip
Meaningful questions to ask your parents - I love writing more thought provoking posts like this one
Lots of recent daily outfits here
what caught my eye
a few quick things:
I’m super excited to read this new book, Workhorse, as it’s meant to be a bit of an inside look at Vogue. If you live in Charleston, the author is coming to town next week for a book talk. She’ll be in conversation with Stacey Smallwood - what fun!
I can’t get enough of this paper collaboration between Jen Shoop and Mamey Design. I particularly love the habit tracker and the weekly planner pad!
This cashmere robe just might be my new favorite thing!! It is an actual dream. Bonus: use code JILLIAN15 for 15% off.
Tutto Knits launched children’s sweaters in collaboration with Caitlin Fisher. They are darling for little girls.
The brand new tartan collection of nightgowns from If Only If is so festive. The red tartan is everything.
what caught my heart
TableWith was featured on the Grandma’s Silver podcast! My heart is full that we have had such wonderful feedback since launching the business in August. We chatted about our “why” for starting TableWith, the deeper meaning behind gathering and community, and why both are more important than ever. I’d be thrilled if you added it to your podcast lineup :)
what caught my interest
I was in a bit of a podcast rut for what felt like too long but; lately, there have been a lot of great episodes out there to listen to. The dishes aren’t going to wash themselves so I need my podcasts. Anywho, I am no stranger to morning smoothies and green juices (love you Kelly LeVeque!) but I haven’t been in the regular flow of making them in awhile. Then, two different podcast episodes I listened to in quick succession had guests raving about their morning beverages of choice. Nothing you don’t already know to do with your smoothies and juices but I took the liberty of writing down the ingredients for you here in case anyone needs to liven up their mornings. I find it so interesting to hear what people eat and drink in a day! How about you?
Martha Stewart on Lipstick on the Rim - her daily green juice

what caught my imagination
I am already craving the holiday season! You could probably have guessed that based on my last Catch-Up where I broke down some early Christmas inspriation that’s looking unique and special. Honestly, come November 1st, I am all in on the holidays (that includes Thanksgiving! I don’t like to skip over Thanksgiving.). I haven’t tackled our Christmas cards yet because Edwin has a slew of travel coming up for work that we will have to work around with our photos but I have a vision in my mind. As you work on your holiday cards, here’s a guide for who to use for your cards. Time to get your imagination going!
Erin Wallace Designs - I ordered my holiday cards through Erin Wallace Designs last year and could not have loved them more! She is a mother who works her tail off at the holidays with her holiday cards and does a beautiful job doing it. I can’t recommend Erin and supporting her business enough!
Dear Elouise - I’ve ordered all three of my boys’ birth announcements through Dear Elouise and think they do exceptional work. It looks like their Christmas card orders might already be closed but worth investigating further because they really do have a magic touch.
what caught my kids
I wanted to lean into Halloween with my kids with some fun, easy, super affordable arts and crafts + activities and I found a slew that we’ve been working through. I’ve been pulling one out at a time and they have given us many hours of entertainment. Here are some of our winners:
Gem Art Pumpkin Decorating Kit
Halloween Hidden Pictures Puzzle
Halloween Picture Frame Craft Kit
